The Hurlingham 6-player set
is a superbly made traditional style croquet set with
regulation balls and hoops/wickets. The only difference
between the Association set and the Hurlingham set is
the mallets. They have cylindrical brass bound heads with
an inlaid sighting line. The mallets have an overall length
of 36” and weigh an average of 2lb.12oz. A magnificent
croquet set, and one destined to be passed down the family.
George Wood, based in New Zealand, are the largest manufacturer
of croquet equipment in the southern hemisphere, and are
well known in more serious croquet cirlces - indeed, the
official Croquet Association Set (home of UK croquet)

Full-size croquet set in a traditional solid wooden
storage box. This set is supplied with six George Wood
Hurlingham mallets. This is probably the best value
full-sized 6-player boxed set available and is ideal
for club use, colleges, parties, gatherings etc. Includes
6 hardwood mallets with octagonal ash handles, 6 regulation
size and weight 16oz composite balls, steel hoops, hoop
mallet, corner pegs, Peg clips, hardwood winning post
and rules. Packed in a high quality solid wooden box
with latches and rope handles. An excellent set, designed
to stay in your family or club for years and years.
We offer a number of accessories to go with this set.
The 2 extra secondary colours (pink & brown) bring
the ball count up to a full set of primary and secondary
colours, enabling up to eight people to play (sharing
mallets of course), or four people to play with 2 balls
each. We also offer extra mallets. The extra Hurlingham
mallets are the same as the ones supplied in the standard
Hurlingham set. The Garden mallets are those supplied
with the Garden
Set. The Junior & Intermediate mallets are great
for encouraging the children to take up this great game.
