The BERG Extra BF3 Sport pedal go kart is a high-quality
kart in Berg's Classic Range, with the BF3 gearbox, in Silver/Black
or Blue/Red. The BF3 (3-Speed Break Freewheel) gearbox selects
the forward or reverse gear automatically, depending on
the direction of pedalling from rest, and gives you 3 different
forward gears, ideal for hilly terrain. All Berg go karts
come with 5-year warranty on the frame.

The Extra BF3 Sport
cart from Berg has many of the best features available
for pedal go carts. The ZF gearbox gives you a forward
and reverse gear, and freewheeling (which means when you
are going along, you can stop pedalling, as on a bicycle).
The appropriate forward or reverse gear is selected automatically
depending on whether you start to pedal forwards or backwards
from rest.
BF 3-Speed Gearbox
The 3-speed gearbox supplied with this gearbox is housed
under the seat (look for the bulge in the picture above).
This really is a sophisticated go-kart gearbox, providing
not only automatic forward/reverse gear, but also 3 forward
gears, and breaking. Foreward/Reverse gear selection is
determined by the diretion of pedal from rest. The forwar
gears (1, 2 & 3) are seleced manually usng the twist-grip
at the end of the handbrake. Breaking is provided when
you pedal backwards.
 Swing
Axel
Otherwise known as a floating front axel, this feature
gives the Berg Extra BF3 Sport more stability on uneven
terrain because it allows the front axel to adjust itself
to a slope or uneveness. This also increases the smoothness
of the ride on bumby or stony ground.
